Set high amongst the gum trees, The Ridge ECO-CABINS feature panoramic views of the Barrington and Gloucester River valleys.   There are two fully self-contained ECO-CABINS available, each offer discerning couples seeking a low-key getaway privacy and comfort with touches of bespoke rustic luxury surrounded by exquisite natural beauty.   Named the COUCAL and the BELLBIRD (after local birds) they are located over 100 metres apart and over 300 metres from The Ridge HOUSE.

 

The Ridge ECO-CABINS are the perfect place to relax in peace and quiet and enjoy the privacy, views and luxury, with all modern comforts and the knowledge that your accommodation is designed to minimise your ecological impacts.  They incorporate energy efficient design, an off-grid solar power system, water self-sufficiency and the use of sustainable and recycled building products.

The self-catering ECO-CABINS are fitted out with a well equipped kitchen with cook top, combo microwave/convection oven, fridge, dishwasher, kettle and coffee pot, BBQ and all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery you will need to cook up your own gourmet meals.

Getting to your ECO-CABIN involves crossing a steep gully and then winding your way up a meandering road.  It only takes about 5 minutes and I hope you are ready for the fun of it?  The access road is not too rough or steep, we have guests in the past who had Minis, Hyundai i20s and Toyota Yaris’ who had no problems. The key is to just take it slowly.

For your comfort on hot days the open plan ECO-CABINS have a “COOL ONLY” air-conditioner as well as a ceiling fan.  In the afternoons, open the widows and let the cross-breeze cool things down while you enjoy the views.

In winter the Eco-Cabins are kept warm by a thermostat-controlled gas heaters.

NOTE: The Ridge ECO-CABINS are strictly NON SMOKING.  (Guests may smoke in outside areas of the Eco-Cabins but must dispose of butts etc responsibly.)
